March 19th, 2020
Over the last few days and weeks we’ve all been learning about COVID-19 (coronavirus) and how it’s impacting the world around us. The health and well-being of everyone who interacts with YPCU, our community and beyond is of the utmost importance to us, and with that in mind, we will be cancelling/postponing our upcoming activities and events. This includes the Eastern Illinois Food Bank repacking and professional development events that were mentioned at our March social, our first-ever (which will still happen!) anti-social, and our April social. Most of these events will be rescheduled for later dates, and we’ll also be scheduling new activities and events as soon as it’s safe to do so!
In the meantime, please keep an eye out for social media posts and emails from us with more info on how to support local businesses, other opportunities to support our community, how to work better from home and more! Please also be smart, stay safe and keep yourself, your family, your friends and our community healthy.
WHAT WE DO:
The Young Professionals of Champaign-Urbana's purpose is to be an inclusive community organization that facilitates social connection, networking, and skill development for young professionals. YPCU will contribute to the development of a stronger community through social programming, community service, philanthropic events, and educational seminars, highlighting local resources and positively impacting the greater Champaign-Urbana area.
